If you were one of our tanks we'd have wanted the healing offspec since we had numerous people who could fill your role as a tank. I know one of my old guilds had almost every plate dps and druid with a tank offspec so it was much easier to replace a tank that didn't show up than a healer, as almost no one had a healer offspec. Or maybe if your guild has spotty attendance there might be a chance you could need to heal for raid night occasionally. If you already have a raid guild, why don't you ask them what they need? Usually they'll say they want a dps offspec, but it's possible that one of the healers is itching to get to dps a few fights and you can do a two-way switch. If you get a heals spot you're likely to stay a healer the whole raid. If you're looking for a raid, I would think tank/heals is more useful for you, to find a raid, because you can fill either a healer spot or a tank spot, and many pugs that are just doing normal modes don't bother that much with switching everyone's roles around. Once you're already in the raid, as a tank, a dps offspec is more useful because you're more likely to be asked to switch to that.
